If I had to pick one word to summarize my first week of college it would be "interesting." The college experience is completely different from High School. The classes/professors and very unique along with the people at college. I had a good idea of what I thought college would be like, It seems that my thoughts were quite accurate so far.

The work load was one thing that really surprised me. After my first week, I have 3 quizzes, 3 tests, 1 report, and 2 homework assignments due in the coming days/weeks. I am amazed how much the workload piles up compared to high school. Also, how fast the professors go is quite impressive. Covering one chapter of a book in one lesson rather then spending a week on it in high school. Instead of dedicating my nights to WoW or hanging out with friends, the majority of my time is now spent recopying notes and studying. The only time I get to hang out with my friends is on weekends.

I like the majority of my professors. Some of them are off the wall and interesting, some are just interesting, some are challenging, and some are just downright boring. After talking with some of my friends at different schools, I am happy to say that I do have great professors.

The lunch is good, Its a buffet style lunch. They have loads of different stuff, Asian, Pizza, Hamburgers, Italian, and much more. I can see the lunch getting a bit.. boring after awhile, but for now I am happy with it.

I would love to write more, but I have a quiz and a two homework assignments due tomorrow.

It (finally) hit me that tomorrow is my last day as a Senior in High School. My senior year has gone by so incredibly fast I hardly noticed until about a week ago that there were only days left before moving on to bigger and better places. Looking back at my High School career I have had many accomplishments along with some regrets. There has been good time, along with bad times. So many events have happened during senior year alone I that I couldn't possibly write about them all without writing a novel!

Zooming back 179(School Days) ago to September 5, 2007. I remember catching up with friends I haven't seen over the summer, getting my senior year schedule, dreading having one teacher in particular (no guess work required here for those who know me), finding my locker (which didnt open!), going to new classes, and catching up with some favorite teachers. It felt great being back in school. I remember everyone kidding around saying "180 days left, I can't wait to get out of this place!

Next big event would be the Engineering Competition at Widener University. High schools from NJ, PA, NY, and DE (and possibly others) came to compete in the "Mouse Trap Competition" sponsored and hosted at Widener University. The goal of this years competition was to design a car powered by only a mouse trap to knock over wooden pins spread over a large area. Delsea set a record at the competition. We won first through fifth place (All five of our teams entered). We competed against over 40 teams. Best of all, my team won first place! Our school got three trophies and great recognition as being the only school to ever take first through third let alone first through fifth! I am hoping that we set the ground work for many other Delsea teams to go kick ass at the competition in future years

Another event for the books would be the football games and the homecoming peprally. I was never a big football fan until senior year. I tried to make it a point to go to as many football games as I could. I had some great times there including having a tailgating party in the school parking lot before every playoff game (Often getting shut down by the cops or school for the loud music we had playing), cheering on Delsea at the games, and having a great time with everyone in the bleachers. I really thought we were going to get kicked out of our own stadium a few times for too much team spirit! The homecoming peprally was great. Having the whole student population in our gym cheering on our football team was great. We won our Homecoming game that night

Next great event would be Senior Trip. We had nearly 200 members of our class go on the trip. It was the most students the school ever had go on the senior trip. We went to some great parks such as Universal, Epcott, Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, and many others. It was truly an action packed extended weekend. We had one whole Air Plane to ourselfs and half of another. I was lucky enough to be on the full plane. We had a great time going down playing games, taking pictures, and talking about all the awesome things we would be doing down in Florida. The weather wasn't the best. It turns out the weekend we went down, Florida was experiencing record low temperatures, Half the time, the weather in NJ was hotter then in Florida! That didn't matter though, we still had a great time

One thing I wish is that I brought more comfortable shoes. I didn't realize how much walking was involved! My feet were numb after the first night, and the next few days were quite painful due to several sores on my toes! On the way home from Florida on the plane, it was a complete contrast to coming down, nearly everyone was asleep the whole trip. So many memories, both good and bad, were packed into such a short amount of time. I will never forget it. I took well over 200 pictures while there! I am glad I didn't turn down the opportunity of going on Senior Trip

Oh and who can forget AP testing week. I took one AP test, AP Calc. After working my butt off for months and studying hard the last few weeks, I think I did well on it. We'll see in July though

This last week of school has been amazing. We lucked out and had half days this whole week (Instead of just the last two days) due to heat index warnings. I lucked out again and managed to stay in an air conditioned room the whole day Monday through Wednesday. During those days I got to play Rock Band, sign yearbooks, collect my art projects, save my Engineering work during the year, and countless other things. Thursday we had to practice for graduation practice which was quite boring, afterwards we got to watch half of our Senior movie, and attend an annual BBQ sponsored by a club at Delsea

The biggest regrets I have during high school are never joining a sport and not attending the prom ever. I wish I would have done these things, but its honestly my fault that I didn't. I can't imagine regretting these events in a few years from now thankfully.

This is just scratching the surface of things that have happened this year. This year is definitely a year I will never forget. With only one day left I think I really am going to miss High School. Up till a few weeks ago, I never thought I would ever say I would miss it. I will never forget all the friends that I have grown up with and the friends that I have just recently met recently. I will never forget you guys. I hope to stay in contact with everyone one way or another. But its time to move on to bigger and better places.

I feel I will be writing more after graduation on Saturday.

One last time... OOOOHHHH EEEIIIGGGGHHHTTTTT!!!!

My High School was literally an oven today outside of the air conditioned rooms (which I am lucky enough to be in 90% of the day). The school closed two hours earlier then usual. It is also rumored that we will be having half days for the remainder of the school year, Friday. If it is true, that it really a great way to go out senior year. Hopefully the weather cools down before Saturday, my graduation day! Its going to be a hot one wearing my dark red cap/gown with dark dress clothes under it.
